I used it in the car first with 6 small bottles of water but it didn't get cold it was just barely cool. Then I tried to see if the refrig would work in the house, unfortunately not. That was a disappointment. I went to Virginia on 8/11-18 and I tried it again in the car and when I put it on cool everthing in the refig was hot when I got to Va. I am very disappointed and wish I could return it for a full refund. I would give another type of car refrig a try. I think there maybe a short either in the electric cord or the refrig itself.
